Diet … No thanks Tips for healthy and balanced diet
The word “diet” comes from the Greek “Daito” which means “way of life.” Therefore should not be construed as restrictive and negative conferred on it by now too common, but as a costume that accompanies the man for her whole life and that if balanced properly, can be crucial in promoting good health.
We can compare our bodies to a car whose fuel is the chemical energy that provides us with the nutrients (proteins, lipids or fats, carbohydrates or glucides) that we find in food. The terms of the energy balance of our body are therefore two: the revenue and expenditure.
The former are represented by the energy we take in through food, while the second by the energy that “spend” to make all the biological work. The energy balance is the difference between the energy that “enter” and that “leaves” as it may be all the budgets in balance (= person of normal weight), previously (= individual underweight), and in active (= overweight individuals). As you might expect it should be very careful to keep in balance, both inward into, otherwise you run the risk of incurring in states of malnutrition or down.
It is therefore essential to eat properly, with the dual aim of:
- All provide the body what it needs (i.e. cover the energy needs and micronutrients)
- Prevent the occurrence of certain chronic diseases – degenerative: Do not forget that some chronic diseases such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, overweight and obesity, diverticulitis and constipation have become more common particularly at the adoption of new dietary patterns high in calories and low in fiber.
What do we need?
WATER: plays a regulatory role, it takes place in all chemical reactions vital to life.
PROTEIN plays mostly plastic function that is used for the synthesis of cell structures and the repair and construction of tissues.
Lipids: play energy function and transport of fat soluble vitamins, as well as mechanical protection of tissues and organs.
CARBOHYDRATES: represent the form of energy “ready” best used by the body.
VITAMINS AND MINERALS: play a bio-regulators, that is involved in many biological processes and are therefore essential for life.
Why do we eat? A question that seems obvious, yet it is not!
And then, how you eat, or rather, how should eat? We know really? Perhaps many things we think we know them, yet when we sit at the table beyond …
Recall that it is important to meet the needs of our body by learning to choose healthier foods and distribute them correctly throughout the day.
By varying and alternating appropriately food choice you can ensure a balanced diet, in order to adopt sufficiently regular and adequate amounts of all the nutrients necessary for our wellbeing.
All this nutrition information should be logically transformed into consumption of food, because “man does not introduce nutrients, but food.” To comply with the recommendations is not necessary to know the nutrient composition of all foods and follow a few but important rules.
